Built over 800 years ago, Cuneo continues to retain the glory and splendor of its olden days. It is an unusual city, with a look and feel that is vastly different from other parts of Italy. Set in the Piedmont region, it is a central town from which you can head out into nearby valleys, slopes and caves for excursions, skiing and hikes.
Soon after arriving in the city, you can pick up the Cuneo car hire that you booked with Pronto and begin relishing all that the locale has to offer. In the north of the city is the old main town, a historic center that’s seen the light since the 12th century. The Renaissance-styled main street leading into town is filled with cafes and shops - you might want to park your Cuneo car hire and stop by for a quick respite after the trip.
When driving your Pronto car hire, Cuneo offers plenty of exploration possibilities. Begin at the Piazza Galimberti, the exceptionally large main square, where outdoor markets are held every Tuesday. Take a tour around the different churches - the
Church of San Francesco, Cathedral of Santa Croce, Chapel of Santa Maria del Bosco and many more.
